So, I've got an old Benq 64930C and I tried using the latest version of Jungleflasher to mod the firmware, but JF froze and the device is unrecognizable in Windows. It hangs the BIOS while my SATA devices are enumerated.

I got the Probe 3 after reading the tutorial in the bad flash section, but I don't know what to do, since the drive does not show up in my ports.

I thought my SATA controller was Intel, but since I plugged the Xbawks in again, I see that I have an oddity in my devices. I was looking there for the Xbox, but I saw a random string of letters followed by IDE controller. I looked up the device's firmware ID and found that it was the Highpoint Technologies RR35xx SATA Controller. The next time I booted, the string of letters had changed in my device management consoles' device description. Is this possibly related? I apologize if this is confusing.

Oh, I should mention that I have the drive keys for the drive, so not to worry there.

Well thats good that you have your key, least you still have an xbox not a dvd player..
Has for the drive, Not all Onboard sata ports can be used to flash consoles, if your pc freeze's well flashing then you need buy a PCI sata card, forgot the name of it, then uninstall them drivers and install the ones you download here and done...
Also if your windows isn't picking up your sata xbox drive goto Bios, and change sata options from SATA to IDE, it helps on the freezing at start, Also when windows is on Loading screen keep opening and closing your drive, it helps windows pick it up, then you should be able pick it with jungle flasher and try again..

The pci card you need is a via 6421. They cost around £6 on ebay. I use one myself and would be completely lost without it. Get one of these and your xbox will be up and running within minutes :)

Yea i use the Via6421 sata card
it made things alot easier for me as trying to get the drive found in windows on a dell,You just plug your xbox360 dvd drive up and jungleflasher is sure to find it:)
MUCH EASIER!!

Best thing and easiest to use is 360usb pro. I used to use via but only keep it for backups if lappy is dead.
