If I get a Bundle Now, is it gonna be the MS28?

Thinking of picking up one at Sam's club. the 440$ premium bundle with the extra wireless + playncharge. Should I order my SATA card now or will it maybe be a MS25?

Is this your sole xbox 360 you plan on purchasing and since you're interested in modding realize before investing the money the LIVE ban bat is now wielded. So if you're interested in the nice feature's of LIVE and running backups the only option is have 2 360's. Also I'm reading that some games will force updates to play, so i'm guessing this might be implemented in popular releases like madden 08 and halo 3. This is where the second unmodded 360 comes handy.

I haven't modded mine but bought the sata card anyways...$13 off newegg so no biggie. I'm not sure what drive you'll get, either samsung, hitachi, or unfirmwareable benq because I have no clue if MS rolled out more drives of a particular type. I know for sure I have a samsung and probably the ms25 since I bought it in Apr 2006.

i've only learned about 360 modding a week ago so maybe wait for a more experienced reply.

But in my opinion I would not update before flashing because the ban detection might have have something to do with the last patch.
I've read posts where people updated, flashed for backup use, and then reflashed back to original FW and still got console banned. In a different case a KEPT OFFLINE system flashed back to original FW and they had no problems getting back LIVE.

Finally i'm not sure of the impact from updating when games request it as I posted a message about this yesterday but no replies.

I never had live with the previous xbox modded, so im not gonna miss it. If its just a matter of live banning or not, ill go ahead and update =P

you shuold flash it then go online at your own risk but as far has i have heard they my be going by finger prints witch means as soon as u log into live they check the frimware and if it changes from the frist day u logged in they may ban u.. :!:

I just picked up a new one myself but to keep online and play originals while the one i'm trying to fw mod stays offline, i keep getting no valid key errors from xread s/n via Textbook's tutorial.
