XCI is now prompting me for a required update. Which is weird because my switch has not been connected to any network at all, so how does it know?
anyways my question is how can I go about having the required update ignored? Is it possible with any SX apps?
Thanks

Updating your firmware can give you game update nag. Best thing you can do is update the game.

Well there's no piracy talk here. But if you own the game you can download the update in OFW and dump it in a new emuNAND if you're trying to keep sysNAND untouched.

Oh no I do own the game it’s actually a dump from my cart. That’s why I was confused but that makes sense. I was kinda hoping that wasn’t the way I had to go about it but oh well. Thank you

I mean you can do it in easier ways but the ban risk is higher. That's just the safest way in my opinion.

It seems that there is a list of some sorts in the firmware. So for example if the cart was released w/ FW 4.0 and they came out w/ an update during FW 6.1 a list was added in 6.1 and above that the game has an update. They know because it's written in the FW, nothing to do w/ ever connecting to eshop or being online. The best solution is to find the update and install the NSP. Then you won't have the nag to update.
