GENERAL Ihas 124b burning issue

Hi guys
Im new to this forum so am just trying to find my way around and have not found out the answer i need searching so excuse me if this has come up before.

I have perchased a liteon ihas 124b drive and update the firware as per tutorial to burner max. The drive shows up in windows but i did use a sata cable as my xbox usb pro has not arrived yet. If i put a blank verbatum in is does not show anything free on disc and when i click properties of drive if says 0mb free of 0mb.
When i load image burn it shows the disc with approx 8.7 free.
I burnt an xgd3 disc 100% with no errors. I put in console and it said play game. Accepted this and got a black screen for 10 seconds before returning automatically to home screen.
Any help appreciated or a link to a topic if asked before.

What firmware in on the XboX ? I had a 191 do it Upped to 2.0 and was fine

i forgot to add that it is on 13599 and lt 2.0.
the xgd3s have been running when burned to 97% with the errors.

try updating the dash to 13604...that might help..

Sorry i forgot to add that this is in a samsung drive. I have since read about lt+ 2.01 and burner max issues on this drive. If i update to lt+ 2.01 would this fix the original issue?

I am having this IDENTICAL problem. Truncated discs burned from my laptop drive work fine, yet none of my burnermax discs are working.

EDIT: Was unaware of a burnermax issue for Samsung drives LT 2.0. Preparing to upgrade to LT 2.1, now. If this fixes this, I'll post for anyone else who may be looking for a fix. From other forums, it seems there were quite a few of us.

EDIT 2: This was indeed the issue. Samsung drives must have LT 2.1 installed to play burnermax burned discs. Any soul as ignorant as I was who has this problem, THIS is the solution. Hope I helped.

What discs are you using ? ive had zero issues with verbs Max burner plus and OPC ticket MK3 batch from singapore

The drive shouldn't crash your computer. Did you flash it properly? Says DVD drives are plug and play

Only issue i have with my Zotac mini mag is i need to make sure its on before i boot up or its a pain to reconize it :crazy:

as for crashing your pc sounds weird
