iHAS 124B problems, new to this can anyone help??

Hi all i recieved my iHAS 124b Liteon drive this morning, and updated to ALOS and flashed the drive which was all successful, which i know worked as imgburn now doesnt give the truncate disc message.

However, i always get a fail burn, i have burned 4 games this morning, and 4 fail burns, 2 of which failed at verifying stage but i checked on an offline console and it loops when you press start at the main menu.

I really dont know whats going on, i have followed, checked and double checked all the intsructions, and i believe i am doing everything right lol.

i use AONE plus gold edition discs, and i have burned almost 200 games, and only ever had 1 fail burn before this.

Any help is appreciated, maybe its the media, maybe i am doing something wrong.

Use verbatims. There is a very good reason why they are recommended.....quality of disc....dye...edge of disc...etc...

If you still get issues then either something is up with the flash or the drive. Could try turning on OPC or burning at a lower speed and see what happens

Yeah, go with verbatims on the xdg3 format games. I spent many hours this past week trying to get cheaper media to work. Could get some to work, but many failed. With verbatims it was spot on each time with no errors even in image burn log session. You can still use the cheaper media on the older xdg2 format though. Not worth the headache of using cheaper media in my opinion. Just go with verbs and see what results you get.

ok thanks guys, as i suspected it was the media i was using, shame i have like 70 discs left haha, oh well they will come in handy for the other games that aint xdg3.

In the past I have used Aone Gold Edition and Bulkpaq discs and have had no problems burning and playing backups (though I never usually verify), however since buying using my new Liteon 124B and flashing iXtreme Burner Max I have had a few issues, they burn 100% (imgburn latest version) at 4x but fail to verify (second layer). I have tried Smart Burn/Hyper Tuning/Online Hyper Tuning = All enabled (using EEPROM Utility) but the Aone discs still fail to verify! I had some old 4x Bulkpaq discs so I gave them a blast and to my surprise they burnt and verified 100%!! I have since brought some Vertibran's as people say these are the best!! £7.99 for 10 against the Aone's for £13 for 25!! Some people say they burn with their PC's in safe mode!! not sure if that helps!??
