I cannot say for sure but any drive you buy now from a BIG ish company will most likely be a version C drive, as they shift their stock quite quickly. A smaller company might still have B version drives. Your best bet is to ask the seller directly.

The only drive that is compatible is the B version. If you look at the pictures on that site it shows the drive is an A version, so even that won't work.


If your from the UK, here is a drive that is cross flashable, also confirmed working by another user on here. Only downside is the drive is used.

Hi,

Cheers for the great response. Id spent a good couple of hours searching around, looking at prices etc, even considered buying from other countries.

I don't mind the drive being used as it will still do the trick :) So it will definitely work for XGD3 games if i cross flash it? Is cross flashing as easy as normal flashing (cause thats pretty straight forward).

Yeah its very easy, just a couple more steps than a normal ihas to burner max firmware flash.

They picture shows that the drives MFD is 2009, I doubt that the drives they actually sell is from 2009.

I think they just don't bother taking new pictures for every new Rev.
