Just go my ihas 124-B in today. Got it all plugged in ready to go when to flash and it would get about 2-3 ticks into flashing and say error. So I did some reading and it would do that because of the SATA controller not being set to IDE. Checked in the bios and its set to SATA. So I figured I would flash the ihas through my via card and everything works in the flashing till about 80% of the way through and its just stays frozen. Closed it down and restarted my computer to give it a go again and no my ihas wont open or close and it says that it has firmware 0L0S. Which someone said that was boot mode or something. I have no clue what to do... Someone please help me.

Looks like you are going to have to change to IDE. If you just change it in the BIOS then you PC will probably BSoD. You may need to change some registry entries and failing all that reinstall Windows with IDE set in BIOS. I have a guide on how I changed to IDE on my PC but follow it at your own risk and always create a restore point before changing any registries.

Okay so I played around with it some more and I got it to flash back to stock AL0S. Now when I go flash it it gets 2-3 ticks in and says error which is the same problem that you would have if you didnt have your sata controller set to IDE which I do. I dont understand why its doing this.

In my bios it says:

On-Chip Sata Mode : [RAID]
[IDE] <--- and I have this one picked... WTF...

Is my SATA chip just not compatible? I heard of someone having the same problem and that's what was wrong with his. I hope that isn't the case. I live in college and no one uses tower computers anymore. Everyone has a laptop so I cant just ask to borrow their computer to flash my ihas.

Can I use my VIA 6421 sata card to flash my drive?

Yeah I try it on the on-board sata and it gets 2-3 ticks on the flashing and it says error... Which according to other people its because my sata has to be set to IDE which it is in the bios.

Try flashing it with the mobo sata but with the via drivers uninstalled, not saying it will work but its worth a try

I had the same problem until I purchased an X360USB PRO. Now I use it all the time, well worth the money.

Hey, guys been google searching everywhere. I even contacted the manufacturer. I have the exact same problem. I bought my light on B version dvd driver for my dad. I got it from ebay and never flashed it. I put it in and notice that I see the exact same problem that OP has.

How did you fix it??? do I have to boot into dos?

I have windows 7 64 bit.

The drive right now it appears in the computer for just 5 seconds and dissapears and then reappears after another 5 seconds and it goes on and on.

:mad2: what is the easiest way to correct this problem? The person that sold it to me won't take it back. I tried talking with the guy.
