I think you double post this same problem.
The reason for this issue is because you are probably working on a 64-bit windows. You can probably dump and backup your drive's firmware, but when you try to flash the burnermax firmware it fails. The tricky part of applications that are no fully compatible with 64-bit windows, is that they seem to work fine. You can't really tell if they are incompatible because the PC usually does not crash, or freezes or otherwise.

That being said, try flashing the ihas drive using a 32-bit windows. I prefer Windows XP but 7 should also work.

flashed ihas no problems here using windows 7 64 bit

Yes you are right. But you missed the call of the question.
OP didn't say he had trouble making a flashed ihas drive to work on windows. A properly flahsed ihas drive will certainly work on a 64-bit windows.
OP is saying that he can't flash an Ihas drive to begin with. What I said is that the applications to flash the maxburner firmware have conspicuous compatibility issues with 64-bit OS'es.
2 entirely separate issues with the ihas drive as a common denominator.

By personal experience, I tried to flash ihas drive with a windows 7 64bit. It dumped and backed up correctly but it failed in flashing the firmware. I was able to defeat this problem by using a 32-bit windows.

I do believe that some people might have been able to flahs their ihas'es with a 64-bit windows. If that's your case, that's very fortunate. But I have also seen people unable to do so.
