So I bought 124 B drive this week, and I got up to the Write Flash step.

However when I click write flash 2 progress bars will come and it gets stuck and I get a Write Error

"Error writing FLASH to drive!"

I am trying to write "iHAS-124B-AL0S-MKM001MKM003-final"

I followed step by step.

When I put an actual dvd in, it still reads it so I assume its not bricked or anything. I am running the flash utility as administrator.

did you install the alos.exe first...if so maybe you need to google for original stock firmware...flash that then the alos.exe then the iHAS-124B-AL0S-MKM001MKM003-final.bin firmware ...thats how i did mine ...hope this helps...

Should I be using the X360USB Pro for this? Currently is just directly connected to my motherboard via sata

Thanks for the link,

I tried that and it does the same thing when trying to write stock firmware says failed after 2 bars.

Is it possible its my computer? Or is it most likely the drive?

wow.. thats odd dont know what to tell you...do you have another machine you could put it into...or maybe go into the bios and play around with some settings...if all the connections are good...you would think its some setting somewhere not letting you flash it...i would go play in the bios..i really dont know what to say ...sorry..

I used my X360 USB PRo instead of connecting the SATA cable to my desktop motherboard and it worked. Not sure if thats how it was supposed to be from the beginning because I didnt see any mention of it in the tutorial pdf.

Hi mapleleafs89,

I got Liteon Ihas 124-19B, when I connected first time using esata port ( not xbox360usb), it got connected and i could see the drive in both device manager/mycomputer. but when I started flashing process - by running ALOS same as mentioned by you everything went fine till write flash, but at end of write flash, it showed me error " error can not write flash to drive"
then I tried using xbox360usb pro but still it will not connect to my laptop, but if I open my tray on it will detect as DVD ROM but once i close it, it will disappear again.

i tried on different platfoms/laptops like DELL win 7, HP XP and mine HP DV3 4170SE win7 laptops but same result.

how exactly you figure it out? what exactly i shud be doing now?

should I flash back to stock firmware and redo everything again with xbox360usb pro?

please need help,.....

Thanks

Prash
