What does this have to do with an X3 chip?
If he wants to backup (his own) games to his hdd, or play (opensource etc) roms then he'll be wanting an X3 and a bigger hdd installed in his xbox!

If your xbox is already modded then you'll need to look on xbox-scene, go to the tutorials section and there should be one to explain to you how to network two xbox's.

Basically you'll need a crossover network cable (if you're connecting them directly to each other) or a straight network cable (if you're using a router/hub)!

Hook them up and use a file manager to so you can see the contents of one xbox on the other!

Another good place to look would be the avalaunch forums, as they'll have specific instructions for their dashboard (assuming you use avalaunch that is!)

Xbox scene might be a better place to ask this, but if you get very stuck pm me and i'll try my best to explian in detail!

You can't do anything like that until your xbox is modded. ie. modchip and a new hard drive so you have the space for backups and roms. Then you can transfer files back and forth from xbox to xbox and between xbox and pc.

Why does he have to get an X3? Honestly if thats all he is doing, then he might as well get a 2.6 or something.

Yeah but the X3 is so purdy :D

Good point though, if you don't want/need all of the X3's features then get a 2.6...

A lot of noobs might not realise that the X3cp/X3LCD exist until they find they can't have one!

I guess the moral of this story is that if you do want to chip your xbox, read up on it beforehand. Make sure you know what features you're getting and which ones you aren't!

Not even sure if his box is already chipped yet though!
