Well this time, flashing a Liteon DG-16D2S (Phat) for a friend it ended fried in a very strange way.

After flash, tested the drive for running backups, everything was ok it worked like a charm.

Ok, assembled the console and turn it up... O_O 3 Red Lights.

Dissambled again, turn it on 3 RL, grabbed the power cord of the drive plug it off and on i was pretty sure that i dont plug the cord backwards.

Turned on the console and No Red lights this time heared the drive turning on as well, and i started to smell something strange, take a deep breath and :eek2: smells like plastic burning! Disconneted the xbox but it was too late.

Looked at the PCB an i found this..

It is near the R207 fuse.

I've repaired 1 that's done that in the past, saying that it was no where near as bad as yours, you would be better off getting a replacement pcb

if you have the key you just need to buy a pcb and flash the key to it. if you don't have the key the other way is to rgh the console. if you have the key, the board should be around 10$.

Yes i have the key, but no found phat liteons PCB's in my country :sigh:

To repair the PCB, connect 3.3v input to the R66
How? While turning on the console with everything connected is that right? i have connect a positive negative cable to each side of the fuse or can just do it with a spear probe in with side of the fuse with 3.3v?
