Im going to hot swap soon am I going to do it right?

Ok im going to get my ne x3 chip soon and im going to fix my old x3 chip by hot swaping it.This is what im going to do>

1.Hook up my new x3 chip put it on 1mb bank (OFF ON OFF OFF)
2.Ounce it goes to the flash bios screen unhook the new one and put on the old one
Then switch the banks to (ON ON OFF OFF) then flash it.
3.then every thing is good again.......


Tell me if im going to do this right and if I said some thing wrong put the correction in your post.

Lemme get this right.. your gonna hot swap the chip?!?

Assuming that something is wrong with the chip... Why not just flash the new chip with the current bios.. if you need your settings just write them down. o_O?

I think he is trying to flash his previous chip which obviously won't load for him to flash with.

I believe your method will work. To make it simple, don't plug in the eject/power adapter. I'm guessing this is because you have a 1.6b, which you flashed over your only good flashbios 3.0.3. (you mentioned off on off off (2nd 1Mb bank))

If its not a 1.6 then disconnect your external switch as well.

The reason I am hot swaping the chip is becauseI have a ver 1.6 xbox and back up does not work on the 1.6 xbox and I guess I could just use the new one but I rather have two working chips than just one.;)
