Ok, I have one simple question about X3 CE. This is what happens, when I plug in the xbox it directly comes on, boots to M$Dash. Two lights come on the Chip, yet nothing on the external switch. Now, my question is did I really F' up my Xbox or could this ALL be due to bad soldering of the PCB Rebuild??? I did not boot up my XBox with the 5v wire going to the Power/Eject unit. Please help as I am ready to die from failure right now.

what version xbox do you have. if a 1.1 you dont need to do the rebuild board.

Check for stripped cable by the metal shielding and make sure they arent shorting out against each other or check for solder splashes on the back of the switch.

got any pictures of the install? You do the the 5v cable for the 1.6. It solders to a leg on one of the chips on the top of the motherboard. see the install diagrams on the main page

Hey... I have a xbox v1.06, and a X3 CE w/pcb rebuild (it came that way) Do I have to solder the blue wires as shown on the guide? I am a little confused by the way that it is worded :p

No. It shows right on the tutorial:

If you have the v1.6 Rebuild PCB from your supplier then goto this link on how to fit it - you do not need to install manual wires. YOU STILL NEED TO SOLDER THE HDD AND LAN WIRES - SOLDER THE D0 WIRE TO THE REBUILD PCB WHERE IT SAYS D0 NEXT TO THE LARGE SOLDER PAD.

That link shows the info you would need.

Ok, all my solder points are perfect, I even brought it over to my brother-in-law's house and he agreed. I resoldered the LPC ReConfig and the 5v alternative power supply point. I STILL get the same problem where right when I plug it in it goes to the MSDASH and the front power buttons and eject doesn't work AND no light on the external X3 switch. Can someone PLEASE tell me where the problem might lie? I can't figure it out worth nothing. The lights are lit up on the X3 chip itself.
