I am new to the flashing scene, and have been reading about it for weeks now. I have the Benq drive in my 360, I just ordered the SATA required (6421a), I ordered the Ck3 mini. and I will be ordering the Liteon drive next week. I have an exra Benq drive that I was going to flash with the 0800 firmware to backup my originals and just leave it put away until I get some new games, but I am confused as to what firmware to put on the drive that will be in my console because to my understanding 0800 is only for ripping games. Someone please correct me if im wrong?

well while ur waiting for your flashing bits and bobs to be deliverd have a search and read some of the many tutorials,put your feet up and even watch a few videos.

Wait a sec... If you have a BenQ drive in ur 360, and have an extra BenQ for ripping, whats the Lite-On for?
Guess he needs one to burn with..so hopefully he has bought the right one

He not bought the lite on yet so he don't need it the 2 benqs he got now will do the trick the one in his console for games his other for backups. It helps if people read the op and don't judge the guy new to this

Op you want benq let 3.0 on your consoles drive and the 0800 on your spare Benq hope that helps

Thanks knowlzy! Here is my plan. I have 2 benq drives for the xbox 360, I was going to flash one to 3.0, and the other I was going to use the 0800 firmware to rip the games with, and I was going to buy the liteon drive to burn my games with. Is it unnecessary to have that many drives or is that the way to go? Also yes the lite-on is the Ihas which is needed to burn xdg3 games.

yes for the correct backing up and burning process you will need all them drives m8....
You could technically loose one of the benq's but it would mean opening up and reflashing your drive every time you wanted to backup a game (reflash not needed if own usbpro 2)
