Yes it is phat. Pg 204, mtk intro? Tried that.Is this a Phat Lite-On?
If so go to page 204 0f JFtut 1.4.4 and follow the instructions![]()
Thats the problem, it doesn't even after doing that. You have the key so press lite-on erase and power cycle it will recognise in JF
Unless their is a way to fix this, it is bricked.unless you've physically damaged the drive you can NOT brick a Lite-on.
Nope, I've never had to recover any drive.Have you managed to recover an erased Lite-on before?
If not, you may not have the right hardware.
Check to see if the chip on the drive board is getting hot.
Both!Did you ever try dosflash 16 or did you just try the GUI?
Not ejecting either.is the drive still ejecting etc. just checking in case its actual physical damage causing your problem. i got a benq last night off a guy he said he couldnt get it to recognise. turned out to be the board was fried
I've tried them, and on a different computer too.If the drive has no firmware it won't eject. Do you have other ports you can try on your pc?
Yea, that was my final resort. Now I just need to find a good price from a seller that can be trusted and vouched for.At this point I think you will spend more time then it's worth to fix it. If you have the key your in luck, just pick up a new drive and re-flash it. You can get new lite-ons for $25-40. Some sellers, like myself, will offer pre-flashed replacement drives if the customer has the key.
Dealextreme has them for $30 with free shipping. You can even have them shipped from there US warehouse if you want. It likely wont get to you super quick but i've had great dealings with them.At this point I think you will spend more time then it's worth to fix it. it also wont eject if the drives dead due to damaged hardware:rolleyes2:If the drive has no firmware it won't eject. Do you have other ports you can try on your pc?
So you've never had to do this before, meaning your hardware may just not be capable of performing the task.Nope, I've never had to recover any drive.
I have flashed the same drive plenty of times with the same exact hardware and method.
It's been disconnected for awhile, and even longer since it was last detected, so its not hot.
Amen to that....:cool2:TBH this is why I got an X360USB Pro. No messing around with DOSFlash and SATA drivers.
