Hi,
I heard that i need the IMAX burner to burn XGD3 games?
Which one do i get because i saw a lot of editions of this drive

Actually, they are all the exact same drive! The differences between them are the functions enabled or disabled by firmware.

124,324,524 are all the same thing (you can flash a 124 to 524 fw and get the "bonus" features of the 524)

224,424,624 are all the same as above, but have a lightscribe laser

in other words, grab the cheapest you can find, because you can switch to whatever burner revision you wish

ok im going to order 224 so can i upgrade it to 624?? err i suppose its stable fw right....
sorry im not so familiar with this

yes the firmware is stable, as for your lightscribe laser, google is your friend try using it and typing what you want to know there
