i'm trying to program my coolrunner with a lpt cable but when i click program impact returns the following error (this is with verify deselected in the program settings)
INFO:iMPACT:1982 - '1':Done bit could not be programmed correctly.

with verify selected it returns

'1': Programming device...
done.
'1': Verifying device...
'1': Verification terminated due to errors
'1': Failed at address 0.
'1': Programming of user selected options failed.

the green light on the coolrunner is still solid so it is not programed yet

Just try with 360gcprog. It's much simple and stress free. Although if your cable is not properly made or is too long you most likely won't be able to program anything

You have a problem on your cable. Either the connections or its length.
Make sure you have all the connections right. Test them with a multimeter. If they are all ok then your problem must be the length of the cable.
what's its length?
what guide you follow to build the cable?
What are you using to power the CoolRunner? some king of CK3 or the motherboard?
