I followed the process to flash the lite-on 16d2s drive as noted in the title. The drive was being recognized in jungleflasher and I was able to get the Dummy.bin and those other files and was able to flash to l.t 3.0. before the drive worked perfectly, well during the flashing process, I clicked lite-on erase in jungle flasher and ever since then the drive would not start or move. it will not eject while i am on the dashboard. Can we please save this drive? OR give me some trouble shooting tips please? I would like to repair it myself if possible....Also i have the log.

well when you click Liteon erase you have deleted the firmware, going by what you said you never clicked Write, which is what you are supposed to do after Erase

The flash was successful, its just that i erased the firmware before even getting the dummy.bin. the laser just lights up and doesn't move anymore. I used a pmt probe and i'll post the log when i find it....my question is would clicking lite-on erase render the drive useless before getting the dvd key?

If the flash was successful, you must have saved your dummy.bin out somewhere.

JF gives 4-5 warnings before erasing if you haven't got your original Dummy.bin loaded.

Yes, completely. The key is unique to each xbox.

Get the key is a must.

If you are on 14719 dash and below you can RGH to retrieve the key, see stickies in the coolrunner section.

If you are on the latest or beta dashboard, then you will have to wait for a hack to arrive and use it as a dvd player

i would think the word ERASE would have answered your question

Code:
erase
e·rase
[ih-reys] verb, e·rased, e·ras·ing.
verb (used with object)
1. to rub or scrape out, as letters or characters written, engraved, etc.; efface.
2. to [COLOR=Red][B]eliminate completely[/B][/COLOR]: She couldn't erase the tragic scene from her memory.
3. [COLOR=Red][B]to obliterate[/B][/COLOR] (material recorded on magnetic tape or a magnetic disk): She erased the message.
4. to obliterate recorded material from (a magnetic tape or disk): He accidentally erased the tape.

I'd like to clarify that I got my key, however I had made the mistake of getting frustrated and clicked the Benq erase. Would that be enough to brick the drive? Also I got my key and a bunch of other files.
1. Is This lite-on is now useless?
2. Can the lite-on be replaced with a Benq?
3. Do you absolutely need a NANDx that is listed on xconsoles and in multiple videos for the rgh hack?
4.Would I ever need the NANDX after the RGH hack?

If you have wiped the firmware from the drive then it does not know what to do...

For example if someone had there brain taken out what do you think would happen :)

You just need to load up the firmware you want as target and manually spoof the key, even if you have to key it in.

1. The drive is fine!
2. You have a lite-on so why replace it with a benq?
3. A nand-X or JR programmer will do just fine.
4. Possibly, you tell us.

Are you sure you have the correct drive key? If so connect the lite-on to you pc, make a LT3.0 firmware for your drive, hit the lite-on erase to get your drive into vendor mode (follow on screen prompts to the letter) and then WRITE your firmware to the drive.

See I got a successful flash to L.T 3.0 in jungleflasher But the lite-on still wont do anything. The part where the laser is will not move.

Ok, so the JR programmer 1.1? will the regular one be just fine? Is the Jr programmer process similar to the Nandx method?

VGC repairs is credible right?
