Thanks for the update. I just got my SXOS Pro today, and like an idjut updated the (launch era) Switch before disconnecting it permanently from the internet. For any of you going through this for the first time.... this is typical and can be expected at times of major firmware updates.
As we have stated dozens of times before: SX OS has features that other cfw do not... namely XCI loading. In this particular case the game cartridge slot firmware was updated. This is the 2nd time that firmware has been updated since the switch launched. The developers have stated it's not a problem, they are going through the steps of adding support for it as we speak. it's just a time consuming process.
Smaller firmware updates where it's just keys changing come a lot faster. 9.0 Changed the keys, changed the tsec firmware, and also the cartridge slot firmware as stated above.
Please be patient.
An update is on the way. We just have to get it through development and testing so it's ready to release.
where have you been all my life?If you upgraded to 9.0.0, you can get the latest dev release of Atmosphere and Choidujour, downgrade your firmware to 8.1.0, then create an emunand partition in SXOS (while still on choidujour 8.1.0) then flash your original stock nand back to 9.0. This will give you an emunand on 8.1.0 and a sys firmware on 9.0 with no ban.
Can say it works because I did it myself. It's a bit of a tedious process but doesn't take that long.
keep in mind you will lose cartridge slot function on nands lower than 9.0 but xci loader should still workIf you upgraded to 9.0.0, you can get the latest dev release of Atmosphere and Choidujour, downgrade your firmware to 8.1.0, then create an emunand partition in SXOS (while still on choidujour 8.1.0) then flash your original stock nand back to 9.0. Not sure what you did wrong, but whatever the circumstance, absolutely use FAT32. And make a nand backup.I have a problem
I'm on 8.1 (just got the switch. never anyone tried anything on it )
I have the sx pro beta fromnpage and the correct bin in the sd card formated as exfat ( I might try fat 32 if needed but I wanna rule out other issues first )
I start up the sx os ( red boot screen) and I try to start the switch but it stays on a black screen for a while .. ( my brothers swtich boots immediately )
Can someone give some advice on how to proceed ??
My 8.1 switch doesn't have exfat support and wants me to update .. so I think it might be my issue .. but I won't go online to update to 9.0 obviously
I can boot to sx os beta version
Should I make a band backup or something meqnwhile?
Help
I believe I've not done anything wrong that I know of ( yet )Not sure what you did wrong, but whatever the circumstance, absolutely use FAT32. And make a nand backup.
If you don't have any knowledge, definitely do your own research beforehand. I don't really think downgrading is hard, but non-tech savvy or newer users might struggle with it it a bit.Hello
Just got my sx pro today and unfortunately my switch was updated before that. Would you mind if I ask you more instructions about this? I really want to do but dont know how. I would pay someone to guide me if was the case.
