Why are the readings on pins 1,4 & 5 different when the chip is enabled and disabled?

disabled
-------
1 - 0.20
4 - 3.31
5 - 3.29

enabled
-------
1 - 0.00
4 - 0.80
5 - 0.15

My xbox currently frags while trying to boot with the chip enabled. I have brought the board (1.6) to an electronics shop to have the soldering done.

What could be a cause for this? Is this why my xbox is fragging? The chip did display the flashbios once (a very long time ago) I can still boot with the modchip disabled. Is my chip at fault?

Thanks

post pic of soldering job.

and no its not your chip, only like 00.000000000000001% of chips are bad, 99.9999999999999% of all fragging is user error / soldering

I am assuming that the pin header is installed correctly since the voltages are within the expected ranges when the chip is disabled. Also all power leds are lit up. It appears the d0 is wired correctly since I can enable/disable the chip.

Could the drop in voltage I am experiencing be related to a soldering problem with the lpc rebuild? (although pins 1, 4 & 5 aren't part of the rebuild) I did bring my board up to a local shop for the rebuild. I don't have pics to post.

Thanks.

Okay. Forgive me for my ramblings about pins 1, 4 & 5. I was incorrecly reading the voltages of the pinheader. I was testing the points on the topside of the chip with the multimeter instead of the pins themselves. I should have realized this because pin 4 doesn't even exist! The readings are what they should be.

Does this mean the the lpc rebuild is okay?

Does the fact that I can enable/disable the chip with the power button indicate that I have a solid d0 connection?

Can anyone provide a link to what the d0 actually does?

Thanks. (i'm going to get it to work)
