Hey guys,

Today I'm asking you all to identify my Xbox as in depth as possible without taking it apart.

I'll supply as much as I can about it, here goes:

I bought this Xbox around Christmas 2011 right around the release of mw3 and I'm pretty sure it was the year the Xbox 360 slim came out too.

It is an XBOX 360 s, it came with a 120w power brick which I know has a corona motherboard thanks to it. The controller that came with it is a cg2 and it has a HDMI port with av.

If you could please tell me what DVD drive I might have (according to the time I bought it which was late 2011) and where I may get it modified with an RGH dual band so I may play online with it aswell as offline cheaply an efficiently. I also hope to get it flashed which is why I would like my DVD drive identified.

Cheers guys, this is my first post.

I don't bite I promise,

-Enigma

You still would have to open it to know exactly which drive is in it, not by MFR date. Every slim can be flashed and you'll be able to have a dual NAND demon as well.

Make a request for this in the request section, or tell here where you're located so you probably will get some responses here or private messages from pro's who are willing to do that for you.

I saw a thread somewhere that showed you how to identify the drives by the noise they make at start up. The noise between drives is distinctly different. I've tried looking for it but can't find it again.

You can tell the difference between Lite-On and Hitachi drives by looking at the drive tray, but this makes no difference if the motherboard in his console is a Corona because LTU is required regardless of drive type.

OP: What is the amperage of the console (look at the back of the console near the AV port)?

Did it come with a hard drive?

I thought that I read a reply from Bl4k3y in some post, that it was possible with some pro adjustments, but I could have misread that...
A 4GB Corona can be converted to 16MB, but it is not an easy task.

I want to establish exactly what type of console the OP has before he proceeds any further.

It will get opened up one way or another but as I said, I'm a junior to the modding community. I've never taken an Xbox 360 slim apart in my life and quite frankly this is the only one I've got. The modding community however is very large andi want to be a part of it.

Very quickly replies too, thanks guys, I'll open her up soon to check the DVD drive and keep you updated. For now I'll research up on the ltu2 PCB. Close this thread if you must.
