Try booting 5035 on bank 2 (why is it on Bank 2 ???)

In reply to your other post, on his say-so you go ahead and cut these pins (I dunno, one guy does an Xbox and all of a sudden he's a flippin expert!). If the Xbox starts acting up with the chip in place, then it's time to contact the guy.

I'm glad you finally got sorted :)

I got a final reply from the prat - along the lines of calling me an idiot and to "basically go away and die". Nice chap, eh?

My 1.6 hovers around 60-61 degrees with no visible problems.

not tryin to hijack this thread, but i saw that his prob was fixed!!! and congrats on that by the way...but i didn't think a new thread was needed when i had a question about in game reset...

ok, so im kinda new to all this, i am figuring out sh!t as best as i can on my own, but this is bugging me and i have SEARCHED my ass off, and found nothin....

I have a 1.6 w/ a x3 chip running evox....
now my friend, i have no idea what he has, i don't live near him anymore and cannot get ahold of him....his box is modded as well, but on his, he can do an IGR, then go to XBMC and play music, then hit a few buttons and go back into the game exactly where he was b4 IGR???!! any thoughts?????

I've never heard of this before. As soon as you do an IGR, it does exactly as it says on the tin - it resets the Xbox, memory et al.

Unless there's something else like a game which auto-saves the last place, I don't think it's possible.

well, it was about a year ago that i seen him..but we were playing the original halo, then he said to hold on a sec....he hit a couplt buton at the same time....took him to his dash....maybe it wasnt XBMC, but he opened something up and started playing music...then hit a couple other button and we kept playing like we never stopped.......and we were listening to the music he played...

Did he have a PC running XP Media Center connected to the TV? This sounds the most plausable situation. He may have just changed TV inputs to put on some music.

not sure...again its been a year or more since i seen him, and i knew NOTHING about xbox modding back then, so i wouldn't know!!! =(

that would b nice if someone could write something like that into the programming of the chips....

It's not possible under normal circumstances. The Xbox only has 64MB as standard and the games developers need to use every bit of it - literally.

It's not the chip that does the work - it's the BIOS itself. Multitasking a Media Centre and a full retail game would require far too much processor power and RAM. Something would have to give.

Your best bet is to ask him yourself. Speculation isn't the best way forward as what you saw was a long time ago!

Even with a debug BIOS and 128MB Xbox, there's no way you could run XBMC behind Halo whilst playing music.
