First and foremost I'd like to humble apologise if this is in the wrong section, but seeing as I have little to no clue as to what I'm babbling about perhaps it is appropriately placed.

I've recently taken on the ambitious task of modding my Xbox360 (250gb) Slim console. The warranty is void and I have absolutely no quarrel with taking it apart now nor do I use any online features. The overall objective is to replace the original case with a modded BitFenix Prodigy case using a custom motherboard tray to mount it within. I'm also hoping to remove the original heat sink and replace it with a an XSPC water-block and water-cooling kit as well as attaching mod-chip. However, I have a few questions that I'd really appreciate some assistance with, I don't need my hand held as I run a small business building business systems but I am utterly clueless when it comes to consoles. I have soldering equipment and as far as that is concerned I'm confident that I can handle anything I need to from what I have seen.

My first question is, which TX mod chip or kit would I need to purchase and install to allow home-brew applications to run and a custom dashboard if at all possible, I originally did this with a classic Xbox several years ago but now I am completely out of the loop. I have heard that TX gear is excellent and generally the best in its class so I will definitely be using something from this range.

Secondly, I did some light searching and I assume this is a no-brainer but seeing as how the Xbox360's default it USB2 would it be in anyway beneficial to replace the mechanical HDD with an SSD, is it possible to support TRIM with a custom flashed driver or is it a waste? Can a modded device run multiple drives, a boot drive and a storage drive; seeing as how external support for a drive is possible? If this isn't possible, is there a highly recommended mechanical HDD that is typically used in modded devices and if so, what would you personally recommend?

The CD drive is another concern I have, I assume that the 0800 drive is the stock replacement for the original drive in the device, is this correct or is there a better alternative that I need to assess? Furthermore, in regards to NAND will I require any additional tools to mod the device?
