i have a samsung drive in my xbox, it will not read many cd-r's it wont read memorex black, durabrand or TDK, the only things ive got it to read is a cheap brand call gigastore. should i swap it out? i have backups and divx on cd-r that cannot be read. opinions?

Back the cd's to your harddrive and FTP them to your xbox!!

The best way to go is dvdr's, your drive should read them all.

Cheb41 has a good point it might be easier to ftp from pc then to F__k around burning and KILLING multiple disks

Team Xecuter has a tutorial on how to make Flashbios CD's I've found it to be a good source of info to make C.D's and DVD's in general, they specifie that

"DONT USE MEMOREX CD's - THEY SUCK ASS IN MOST CASES.

since I bought a long enough cat5 cable I haven't needed to use any kind of cd in the xbox
