Hi Guys,

A friend of mine asked me to fix his Xbox that had the 3 red lights (Due to Overheating) I did this and the dash board comes up fine however when I put a game in it says Insert in a xbox 360, I understand this is due to the motherboard not recognising the keys on the drive. The Xbox is flashed (Dont know what firmware) Before I got it, it was taken to the guy who flashed it for repair and he said it would cost £120 and needed a new motherboard, my m8 didnt go for this, I suspect the guy stole the Drive or swapped the motherboard or something as it worked fine before the ROL error.

Question is does anyone know how I can make both motherboard and drive match? Or any other way I can fix this? I dont have original firmware to flash drive back to.
Its a Hitatchi Drive, rom ver: 0047dj

Thanks Guys

the keys on the dvd drive and the mobo must match for it to work.

you need the firmware from the orig dvd drive and the firmware from the new dvd drive.
