If I'm going to install a new hdd and don't care about the data on the old drive, Can I just put the new hdd in and then install a dashboard? Furthermore I have the slayer autoinstaller which says it only has a torrent file? What do I do here? Thx. Do I need an autoinstaller or is it easy enough without?

If you have an X3 you dont need an installer disk. You can format the drive and ftp files up to the new hard drive from within ConfigLive bios.
If you want to use the Slayer CD, you need to get ahold of a bittorrent client. Open the torrent file with the client and let it download.

Slayers is the easy option and works well.
The x3 option is very easy too if you understand FTP and know what u want and where 2 get it.

When you sign in - it looks like its logging in but it looks like it has just refreshed the page with the username, password box still showing
However if you click forums it then loads forum and shows you as logged in! Very strange
