I have been installing a x3 over the weekend with a solderless adapter.
The adapter is in and i get 3 blue lights + the red d0.
When i put the chip in and fire up the box i still only get the MS dash.
I have taken it all apart again and i have noticed that only one LED on the chip actually lights up (bottom led if you have the xbox facing you).

Any ideas?
Is the x3 mullered?

Sorry forgot to mention I am using the Xapt3r. This is working fine. 3 blue LED's and the Red LED that indicates you have a good d0 connection

no, but i do not even get the cromwell bios, that the chip is shiped with. The other thing i have noticed is that the external bank light is very dull, not like the tutorial pics.

Right just been reading more threads, looks like it's the 3.3V LED on the chip not lighting up. Do i need to change the pins if so how do i do this with a Xdapt3r? or could it be a bad connection?

clean the contact points on the LPC, dissconnect the bank selecter, check for the right D0 point, cause that sounds like what your problem is.

if you can't get cromwell then either the chip isn't getting enough power, bad contact with the LPC, or the D0 is not in the correct place/bad contact

What Xbox Version have you got? If it's V1.6B you will need to try and do asoftmod on your Xbox First Then flash the chip - You could also slap the chip into another modded Xbox and flash it from there - BTW V1.6b = Hynix Ram

If it was a V1.6B he wouldn't be using the SOLDERLESS adapter since there would be no pin header to connect to.
