Install New HDD without making a Disk!

I installed a WD 160 gig HDD without having to make a Dashboard or boot disk! I booted my Xbox to the Evox Bios Screen, I then very carefully removed the stock xbox HDD then plugged up my new WD 160 gig HDD while the xbox was on an booted to the evox bios screen. I then went into the new HDD set up screen in the evox bios menu, and formatted my new HDD, then made the partitions. Then you will be able to FTP your Dashboards to your new HDD. Dont forget to make sure the new HDD is set to master. I didnt know if anyone needed this, cause I had problems with my Piece of sh*t thompson drive reading copied disk, so I had to figure out another way to install my new HDD , and this worked perfectly. I need to get a new DVD drive, but I rather FTP than to have to make ISO disk all day. I hope this helps others!

Yup, another reason X3 rox!

I installed my new hdd in my xbox, turned it on chose "new hdd install" (or whatever it's called).
Thought... 200gb hdd 733Mhz processor - I'd best find something to do while it formats.
Stood up and realised it was finished and ready to use :D

Thanks TeamX ;)

agreed, it's hella fast :)

maybe he has an x2 though :)
If he has an X2 then why is he posting in the X3 forum?

It is hella fast though!

pcolamedtech - HD tool in X3CL would have formatted it for you. Also, you can FTP through the X3 chip (with X3 BIOS).

I don't mean to knock ya, but if you read up you will find some cool and easier ways of doing things. I was a noob once too. X3 "will rock your box" as the saying goes, once you know how to use it. :)
