Install problems...

...have problems with a 2.6 CE on a 1.6 that someone brought in. It does the triple reboot frag when the chip is enabled...but runs normally without it. Of course, check the solder points...I checked and rechecked to no avail. I took out the LPC rebuild board and redid it with wires and stills does the same thing. I ended up trying out a Xenium ICE chip to see if the connections are fine and it boots up fine.

So I am supposing the chip is defective?

that whoyld be my guess as well send your chip back to where you got it from and ask for a replacement chip

check your chips geting power 5v and 3v Xenium may only run on 3v not 5v

I would also check the switches and the connection to them. Link is in my sig.

Thanks for all the help everyone...I checked the switch with a multimeter and it seemed to be fine. I got ahold of an X3 and tried it out and it worked fine. So it is in fact the chip that is the problem...

Did you check the switches in both positions? What about the wires themselves?
