Installed chip , turns on by itself and nothing!

I installed the X3 chip and everything( the pin and the 3 solder points) , when i hook it up to the video & power in the back of it the xbox turns on and the circle around the eject button is orange and blinking. It turns on then turns off and turns on and off then stays on. I did everything right. The switch for the chip doesnt even light up. Can anyone help me... also does it matter im using the monster hd cable hookups or wha!? i dont know what the problem is really im a nooby any help is greatly appreciated.
Im from bergen co. NJ if anybody is in there area....

first what version xbox do you have? Do you have 2 led's on the chip itself lit up? also make sure you to use the stock av cables

Oh dear ...

Ok well first, you DO need the standard cables.

If it's flashing orange there could be a fault with the cable OR it could be that you have seriosuly cocked up on the install and have lifted a track or something.

What version is it ?

Check over the WHOLE area where the chip installs, top and bottom.
Check for solder splashes (magnifying glass !)
Are there TWO blue LED's lit on the chip itself ?

Answer these questions, work your way through checking and get back us.

you killed the install

unless you can repair the mobo, you're gonna need to buy a new one

unistall everything so that the motherboard is back to factory and see if it works. If it does start over again.
