hi guys i have a few questions

1. i have installed cool runner and qsb's now what do i need to play my games and dlc ie. any software and or apps.

2. were do i put games folders and dlc (folder structures on ext hdd)

3. on a separate zephyer xbox the cpu_pll point is damaged i have seen the other tut's at http://www.team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=74992 however it does not state whether you need to solder from new_cpu_pll _bypass point to the point on other side of the board and or where to solder the wire that should go to cpu_pll point (original point).

any and all help greatly appreciated.

i have checked the forum but cant seem to find any answers on the above.

Dlc and GOD games go in Root>Content>0000000000000000

For extracted games I just put them in a folder on the root called games, for fsd, like the above poster said just goto their website, download the installer, (I use the live one that goes in the content Partition of the hdd) and boot it from the dash board

As for the CPU_PLL_BYPASS it all depends on your soldering skill level, The best way to do it is to fix the point on the bottom by using a fiberglass pen to scratch away at the torn point until you see the tiny point to solder to then bridge the resistor to it, after that just solder the coolrunners CPU_PLL_BYPASS to the alt point

If your not using a cool runner you can just solder a wire from the edge of the resistor at the bottom to the alt point at the top that to will work

If you end up using FSD (which you should) you can use the file manager it comes with to create directories on you hdd for Xbox 360 games, homebrew, xbla, and emulators.

Then go into the settings -> content settings -> content paths... here you can configure where the system should look to find all the different media you have (i.e. Xbox 360 games, homebrew, xbla, and emulators)

Then using the FSD main dash area, you will find that all your content shows up in the designated areas.

Hope that helps.

Personally, I set up my .ini so that it automatically boots FSD off the hdd by default. I would look into doing that as well if I were you :)

On the left side of r4b24 where you have the trace repair started - seems like a lot of solder. Your sure its not accidentally connecting two traces?

Also, the resistor may be lifted or dead as well. Remove it and grab a 33ohm resistor ($1.19 for 5 pack at radio shack) to replace it. Just connect one end to your trace repair wire and the other to the right side spot the old surface mount resistor sits now.

You may want to re-tin the CPU_RST as well (green wire connection spot) as it looks a little tooo clean lol

If nothing helps, find out if the guy erased the nand completely... the system is nothing but a paperweight if that's the case. :p

CPU_RST ... re-tin it and hope it connects the trace internally.

That error also seems to show if the ldv isn't set correctly, but if it hasn't been flashed, then that's obviously not the case lol

i never had a wire to CPU_RST (If this is what you mean [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMk775cOFkg"]Xenon RGH CPU_RST Tutorial - YouTube[/ame] )

or do you mean i should remove the resistor like in the video.

Ohhhh duhhhhh... excuse my mental block... I'm on my phone away from everything. I'm talking about pll_bypass... not cpu_rst... please forgive me lol

The 33ohm resistor would be for replacing the r4b24 resistor if it needs it... and I would go with the wired one personally.

As for pll_bypass, I would just try to re-tin it if possible. I agree you should use a fiberglass scratch pen to reveal the trace first though.

Yes, of course you can test the resistor with a multimeter. Set it to ohms and see what comes up. Remember its a 33 ohm resistor.

I didn't get a larger pic to pop up with detail of your multimeter, but Google will help you if you need to know exactly what to set it to, ok.
