Hi i I got a jasper 16mb 3rd gen.installed nand-x with QSB (Quick Solder Board) (Motherboard Headers: J2B1 and J1D2) got the nad bin twice they were identical used jtag tool coolshrimp.installed jtag hack. used jtag tool to rip nad then wrote xell, removed the usb tried to turn on the 360 & it wont turn on.pls help. i then removed the qsbs & jtag.still wont turn on.pls help.
Oh man, you already even removed the QSBs ? What was the hurry ?
Seems like you didn't even turn the JTAG part ON through the switch on the JTAG QSB. The JTAG part is needed to boot into Xell and Freeboot. While the NAND QSBs are still needed to write to your NAND.
Here is what you should do.
1. Solder the NAND and JTAG QSBs back on again.
2. Check the wiring and the solder points with a multimeter to be sure they connected okay.
3. Since you just wrote Xell and then removed the QSBs, there should still be Xell present on your NAND. So, remember to have your drive connected to your 360. And change the JTAG from OFF position to 0 position, or use any other resistor combination.
4. Try to start your xbox. If everything above went fine, either your xbox will start with Xell or give you E79 error. No need to worry about the E79. It has probably been caused by the resistor setting. The resistor setting is different for every motherboard, so you usually have to try one or two different settings. When you get the correct combination, the console will surely boot into Xell. Then, those resistor settings are for you and you should remember them and probably leave the JTAG part as it is from then on.
5. Continue forward with the original tutorial and get your CPU key and make freeboot for your 360 and write it to your NAND.
6. Enjoy...
