OK, so I installed the X3 a cpl months ago before the 1.6 rebuild module. I couldn't get the X3 bios to flash (Kept getting the blank screen) but I could get the EvoX bios to flash from the Slayer CD.

Fast forward to this week, I installed the 1.6 rebuild module & successfully flashed the newest X3 bios. However all of my games & data that was on the drive looked lost, like it got reformatted. But today as I was uploading to the xbox, I noticed my drive is only being recognized as 40 gb instead of the 160 gb drive that it is!

Has anyone heard of this? Can I recover the data that I thought was lost by connecting it to my pc & just let the X3 repartition the drive? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!

unlock the hdd, slap it in your pc....backup all the contents then put it back in your box and repartition and format then transfer everything back

Far from here!
before you reformat, Make sure you change the settings in x3config live to recognize the f & g drives and the 160 HD so that it will see all of it. If that doesnt work then do what 'yourM0M' says!

you could use abgx360 to insert a different wave into the .iso file

Re: Alternative wave 6 support

I tryed patching a wave 6 to a wave 4 and also used activate iso. I got the screen where it tells you to "Play this disc in a xbox 360 console" or something like that, then ejected and put in the burned game and it still didnt work.

Is this activate iso thing even legit ? Theres been alot people say it does work but have shown no prof of it.

Re: Alternative wave 6 support

what version of firmware do you have?

activate.iso will work for any wave 4 and above
so patch to wave 3 or lower

but if you are getting that message, it sounds like two things

1. you have an incorrect dvd key
2. your xbox isn't modded
