Installed X2.6-flashed BIOS, get nothing but black screen, help please

Here's the pertinent technical info...
Xbox version is 1.3
I installed the X2.6 solderlessly-all the lights are correct, including the green light on the switch bank
If I disable the chip it boots to the MSFT Dash
If I place the chip on bank 2 it boots to the flash screen
When I turn on my system I can hear it starting up and accessing the hard drive.
This is a new chip in a system that had an old modchip go bad(the x-chip) is there any way to get it working without reinstalling the whole thing?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds to me like you've not put the hacked BIOS X2 5035 onto the chip. Waht happen when you put the switch to bank 1? you should see FlashBIOS on bank 1 also. Off the factory, the 2.6CE chip is installed with FlashBIOS 3.0.1 on bank 1 and FlashBIOS 3.0.3 on bank 2. If you've not done anything with the chip then I would suggest you to flash bank 1 with X2 5035 BIOS. Once this is done, you'll have to worry about whether you do have the "appropriate" dash on your HDD that X2 5035 would automatically search for. Try to find AutoInstaller Deluxe v2 or v3 and burn to a DVD-R and boot once you have X2 5035 installed on bank 1. I would recommend you to get an X2 Programmer to put the hacked BIOS onto the chip if you don't know how to flash. You also have the other option of searching on this forum or xbox-scene.com or the web to find out how people goes about flashing the chip with the hacked BIOS.

thanks for the tip. I actually did already flash the chip, forgot to mention it, I will look for the autoinstaller.
