By mistake i installed the X3 bios on the X2.6 mod chip on the bank switch 2. so now when i try to turn my box back on and all what happens is that the box will turn on and off like three times then then front LED flashes red and green and nothing shows up on screen. So then I tried to boot on bank switch 1 and same thing. Now i have no clue what to do. I read around and all i came up with is that i should buy a chip programmer, ya but i dont wanna send $20 for some thing i will only use once and that i cant use on my X3 chip. I was thinking that ill try and send it back to the website i bought if from and hope they will reprogram it, but thats like last case scenario.
Unless there is something else i can do, does anyone know anything else i can do to fix it, because its not my xbox its my friends and now hes using mine untill i fix it.
Thanks

Regardless of what bank you had the 2.6 set to, the X3 BIOS would have overwritten everything. In order for it to fit on the chip it would have had to start at the beginning of bank 1, plus FlashBIOS (if that's what you used) always starts writing at bank 1. You've put a 1MB BIOS onto a chip that has 1MB of space but only supports up to 2 512KB BIOSes.

Your options are to buy the programmer or do a hot swap. There are some threads around here regarding the swap, see if you can track anything down with a search. I'd feel much safer with the programmer tho.
