I just installed an X3 on my friends xbox.. this is my first working with X3, the other were 2.3b lite +. I love that chip.. anyway I followed direction and used the LPC rebuild board thingy and everything looks good.. but uh... the front panel doesn tlight up at all, the chip lights blue for the 5v im guessing, but nothing changed on the box. Boots normal to MS dash and its obviously not working.. D0 problem maybe? I know i solder SOMTHING wrong but i dont know what. Any help? Sry if this is a repeat, did a general search and didnt find anything relevant..

The LPC pins are connected very good... I had that same problem... just re-solder them and hope for the best, I think my problem had to do with the top and bottom pins on the right row when facing the front side of the Xbox.

The first x3 i did i had problems getting the 3.3v to work. Second one was a snap. Make sure your 3.3v is connected and has power

maybe you did something retarded like not hooking up the power button adapter correctly?

Hmmmm.....

If it boots to M$ dash regardless of power presses and such, the d0 point isn't done correctly. Think about it, the d0 grounds the signal which forces the Xbox to boot from whatever bios is in the LPC port, hence the x3.

All i know is that it is a point that when a ground signal is sent, it makes the xbox look for a bios on some type of memory installed in the lpc port. In other words it turns the LPC Port ON and allows it to be used for bios loading purposes. Thats about all i can give u.

Signal travels along trace leading up to the d0 point....correctly soldered d0 grounds this signal causing the xbox to look to another place for a bios to boot.....x3 to lpc provides this bios......boots
