Hi,

Ill get straight to the point... im a n00b in the chipping scence, i bought an xbox wiht an alladin XT chip, i flashed it by mistake and was getting the error 16 screen. So decided to get the xecuter 2.6 CE and install it...... SO i did the blue light is on on the LED, the green light around eject button is on and there is now picture. When i turn the chip off from the switch the xbox boots but still no picture and the ring light around the eject button flashs red and orange.

The other two light on the switch (flash protect, bak 1/2) are not on.

The disc tray does not open unless i turn xhip off then keep pressing eject loads of times and then it opens.

Here is what i got in with the chip and were i got it from http://www.kanection.co.uk/product.php/261/27/

Someone please help me i have been at this for 3 days know.

P.S i have xbox version 1.4-1.5 one of these.

Thanks
CB

hi mate,
ive been doin this stuff for a while and sometimes i get stuck,to me it sounds like your soldering, are you using the 3 wire method,(this is what i use) i have a 1.4 xbox with the xecuter 2.6 chip and programmer.i try various bios's on my chip as some wont play games loaded on the hard drive.i got my chip from baldbouncer i can say they are very good and quick delivery...try checking your solder points to make sure you have'nt damaged one of the points and check for splatter..good luck give me a shout if you still have probs...a good bios to use is (X2 4980.67)

Hi Wolf, Yeah im using thr 3 wire method. i think ill check the point AGAIN! lol. cant do anything about the flash coz i cant see anything on the screen. I know i have messed up the D0 point so what i did is solder a wire frome one end of the D0 point to the other so i can get a perfect link, then i stripped abit of the cassing of the wire from the middle and soldered the grey where to this bridge, check with a multimeter and everything is showing a full signal. I dunno what the F**k iv done.

Cheers for the reply
