Ok I followed tut for new dash and everything is great, the new dash appears and works. Now for the problem, as soon as I use installer from Dash Launch v2.21 I get freeze at boot up screen... No way to recover except to go through nandx which puts me back to working dash. Then its back to installer for patches and then back to freeze on boot.
I tried a few different patch settings and launch.ini but that didn't work so I'm now kind of stumped. Also at the end of patching it says something like "none of the patches are available, do I want to update"
I must be missing something here but I'm at a point where I seem to be going round in circles.
I did manage to get things working with V2.20 but couldn't get to boot into fsd nor able to apply avatar update so gave the v2.21 a go. I have also re-soldered the jtag QSB and hard wired the nand wires as at one point it seemed to boot if I flicked between settings, which made me think it could have been a bad joint.
One more thing I will mention just in-case it is relevant.. I seem to have developed 2 cache files on my hdd1 (is that normal)? they have been there since before this issue but never had a problem so just left them there.
I could always go back a dash to get it working but thought I would ask advise first.
