Yes, i understand that this has been discussed before here, i even looked at the threads. But none of them started fresh from the beginning. I have a 80gb Maxtor HD and I want to pop it in. I know you have to copy the C and D drive to your computer(tell me if I'm right). Thats about it. Someone link me to a tut or tell me exactly what to do.

I have an:
X3 Bios 1957(I dont like updating a bios if it doesnt have a problem)
Xbox v1.0
I dont use live(i use XBC)
and i have EvoX version 3935

Sum1 plz tell me how. I'm not an idiot when it comes to computers. (Wonder if that will help, LOL). Anyways, sum1 tell me how so i dont screw up.

Thx in advance :)

Since you are already using evox;

1: Run the backup util. in evox to backup your system files ( eeprom.bin, etc....). this will create a backup folder on your C: drive.

2: Ftp into your xbox ( i'm not going into how, you can find many tuts on the subject), copy the Entire contents of your C: and E: drives to your pc. and look at the files and make sure that you have an exact copy of all files.

3: Go into x3cl and unlock your hdd ( so that you can use it in another xbox or whatever).

4: Install new hdd (set the jumpers to cable select, if that doesn't work try master.)

5: Go into x3cl and and use the hdd tools to set up new hdd, format all drives, and set the LBA to F: drive gets all. Format F: drive again.

6: Ftp all the files from your pc to the correct drives on your xbox.(C: drive and E: drive)

7: Lock your hdd

8: Reboot........Finished

Btw...
If you have and saved games on your xbox get a games saves manager and transfer them to your pc bdfore you take out your old hdd. Then transfer them back to the new hdd.

Newbie here - I didn't know there was a games saves manager that tranfers game saves from xbox-PC... I always thought it was simpl a matter of the following:

how do i backup my saved games form my original hdd???

INstall the original drive, FTP into the xbox and get all the contents of E:\TDATA and E:\UDATA. Install the new drive and FTP them back onto the xbox.

Small noobie question? About the updates

Hey guys,
Hope it's all fine with you..

So i've got a flashed xbox 360 for 6 months now, i don't play online, neither play much of offline, but when i want to play a video of form .avi from an external hard drive (a flash memory) it says that i need to update my xbox..

Anyhow, as i don't have access to the internet through the xbox, i wanted to download it from my pc..

NOW HERE'S MY QUESTION,
Is updating my xbox to the latest udpate is going to affect my flashed xbox?
In other words, wll I still able to play copied games without re-flashing it again?

My current update is D:2.0.8955.0 - K:2.0.8955.0

Thanks in advance.. :D
