I have the 5035 bios and edited the x2config.ini file but what do I need to do to install it? Do I put the bios on my chip and then switch the evox.ini file with the x2config.ini file? I'm not sure but I don't want to mess anything up. Thanks for the help

get one of the config apps mentioned in the readme, and DONT alter or replace your evox.ini, that has nothing to do with this bios.

I did and I edited it the way I wanted it. So i flashed it onto my chip and put the x2config.ini file and my custom logo in drive F. When I started it up the spikey animation went super fast even though I turned that off and before the logo even starts up it shows me a messed up screen that says error 13. what did I do wrong?

AHHH! the colour is killing me.
error13 - kernel - dashboard launch fail (due to missing/bad key, or anything else that would prevent it from running) and the dashboard didn't specify why it failed.
Make sure you specifyd where your dash is correctly.
Also if it is evox, make sure the evox.ini is in the same dir as evoxdash.xbe.

The logo is there but I still see the xecuter rox my box logo on startup! I open the ini file in x2config and it loads up my custom logo, so I sent the ini file and custom logo to drive E on my xbox and it still won't work. Any ideas? could I just change the xecuter logo with mine?

Okay, I've messed around for a bit and figured out that using X2Config will not change my logo on bootup. No matter what I do with this program I keep seeing the same xecuter rox my box logo. Is there any way I could change that logo in the bios?

All the program does is directly FTP a bmp file over to the xbox, if the bmp file is not the correct format it wont work, and x2config does not check for the correct bmp format, infact it actually creates a jpg from the bmp before it loads it into itself.

Try transfering a x2logo.bmp that you can find on this very forum using a normal ftp client, if it still does not work then it's your set-up that's wrong, if it does try the same bmp with x2cm and see if it still works.

I ftp'd the x2logo.bmp to my xbox using smartftp and put it in my E drive. The Image is a bitmap image and is 180 pixles wide by 50 pixles tall, the bit depth is 32. Here it is...

I made it, I'm not sure if the specs are right, but tell me if their not plz

The bit depth is what is screwing you up. The logo needs to be only 256 (8-bit?) colors. Don't remember if this was in the readme but I know it is listed in the features summary. (http://www.teamxecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29722) IIRC in photoshop this color configuration is generally referred to as indexed color, you can use an adaptive palette rather than fixed for best results. One of the easiest ways to make sure you've got the right depth is to open your logo in MS Paint then save it as a 256 color bitmap. I took your linked PNG and did just that, creating the file attached to this post. This should probably work out for you.
