installing evox of avalanche

Finally flashed my xbox with file from the usual place. works fine.
also downloaded evo x and avalanche dashboards. How do i install them, can it be done to disk.
Cant ftp between pc and xbox. Trying with the same ethernet por and cable that is plugged into my adsl modem. Why wont it connect?
