Installing Freestyle Dash without a Disc

Hi, I have read a couple of tutorials here in regards to installing the xexmenu and freestyle dash in an RGH system. Is it possible to use only one usb key and use a hard drive transfer cable to copy the required files? Or do I have to use 2 usb keys if not using a CD?

you can format a usb flash drive with the xbox and put live versions of freestyle dash and xex menu then run them from NXE.
