I successfully RGH'd my Xbox. Now to the software setup.

I'm using 'JMATH's RGH rundown' http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=84676&highlight=JMATH's+RGH+rundown and the 'Fresh Jtag Setup Step by Step Tutorial - Par' from TeamFSD'. Still strugling though. This is where I get lost in JMATH's tut:

"6. Now you should be able to plug it back into your console and see xexmenu in your games library. It wouldn’t ne a bad idea to move it over to your hard drive.

No you’ll need a fat32 formatted usb drive (can be the same one, it you re-format it for fat32), you’ll need the folder with FSD in it (named Freestyle) and another folder (named installer) with dashlaunch (default.xex) and your launch.ini

Insert the usb drive into your console “play” xexmenu and a blank screen will come up. Hit RB on your controller and it should display the contents of your usb drive. You’ll now copy each of those folders to your hard drive. (hit the back button to show the controls for xexmenu)
Now you’ll need to switch over to the hard drive directory and in the installer folder open the default.xex. It will give a few prompts, press A and you should be good"

question1: I successfully launched Xexmenu from my thumbdrive, but how do I move it over to my internal xbox drive?
question2: "you’ll need the folder with FSD in it (named Freestyle) and another folder (named installer) with dashlaunch (default.xex) and your launch.ini " do I just copy these folders to my fat32 external drive?
question3: Other than JMAT's tutorial and the ones from TeamFSD, are there any other step-by-step FSD&Dashlaunch guides for noobs?

Thanks

1. copy C0DE99990F586558 to hdd:\Content\0000000000000000\C0DE9999\00080000

choose yes when prompted to overwright

2. Freestyle dash put in hdd:\freestyle also put your launch.ini in the root of hdd:\

put dashlaunch installer on your usb stick and run the default.xex from xex menu. It will run you throught the options and install it for you.

If i were you I would just go to www.teamfsd.com and download the DVD package for the Freestyle dash installer.

All you have to do is burn the ISO to a DVD-R with imgburn or any other burning software you use, but I suggest imgburn. With the ISO burnt to dvd you just have to stick it in your xbox once its booted and boot the disc like you would any other disc from the main dashboard. Just make sure you have your xbox connected to the internet (but not xbox live). Fsd installer will come up and you just have to checkmark the path where you want to install it (Hdd) and then check the boxes labeled "Download latest version" "Install freestyle dash" and "Install dashlaunch". And then just hit continue and the program should take care of everything and once its done just hit continue again and you will be taken to the daahlaunch installer where you will choose the dashlaunch options you want and once that is done you should be able to reboot the xbox and it should autoboot to freestyle after that.

If you want to add xexmenu after you can from freestyle dash either by using the file manager within or by using FTP from your computer to browse the xbox hard drive and place the files that way.

This is the way i always go and it works like a charm for me.

Found it! Thanks.

What's the difference between the LIVE package and the DVD package?

Let me know if I need to ask these kind of questions on the TeamFSD forum rather than here.

Thanks
