if it wont read a orig game(try more than one) you need to flash back orig. then start over.

It would really help if you actually listed in order what you did to flash your drive.

You did dump your original firmware first yes? Did you use iPrep? etc

Let us know in order what you did. :)

Ok, here is what happened, I bought a via card, followed textbooks instuctions, dumped it, flashed it, everything seemed to work great, i made a back up of my orig.bin, on my computer, burned it and thumb drive. I went to test it and it wouldn't play any games, the dashboard says that there is a DVD in it. Now, I asked around and was told to flash oringinal then try again. Here is where I think i messed. I did what it said by moving my orig to the flash drive boot to DOS and typed mtkflash w /m /sata orig.bin, it started to do something but then came up with an error, i did not read that i had to disable firmguard. So i went to do that and the error kept saying its not a valid key. That is where I am now.

if you move your orig firmware in to the folder that you are flashing back it has your orig key in it.you will have to do the 10 sec trick to get in the drive.

here is a run down on flashing back orig.

Restoring your original firmware
If you ever wanted to restore your original firmware for what reasons, then all you would need to do to
restore your original firmware is use the directions for upgrading firmware, to disable FirmGuard, so
you are able to flash your original firmware to the Xbox360 DVD drive.
Few things you need to keep in mind:
- Be sure after you’ve created the boot disk with Xtreme Boot Maker or iprep, to transfer your original
firmware you have backed up earlier, to your boot disk. Make a folder in Backups /[7-digit
serial]/[5-digit serial]/ on the bootdisk you have just made, and copy over your orig.bin.
- You can’t use xRead or xFlash to restore original firmware. When you are ready to flash and
you have disabled FirmGuard, in this case you have to use the command :
MTKFlash w /m /sata Backups/[7-digit serial]/[5-digit serial]/orig.bin
