Installing with S.P. adapter

That IS the adapter that I have, and the power is going to the adapter and not the chip. I really appreciate that you're all trying to help... any more ideas?

you have to use the 5v wire that came with chip and solder it to the 5v spot for v1.6 xbox not 100% on this but think so

I kind of wondered that myself, but I have no idea. I did buy a solderless adapter so I wouldn't have to solder it, though. Has anyone actually installed this way, by chance?

You are correct, but the new chips comes with a clip so you do not have to solder it to the ALT 5v spot now.

Anybody else have any ideas? Or, does anybody wanna buy an Xecuter 2.6 CE with S.P. adapter? Maybe you'll have better luck than I've had...

Why not do it right and solder it? Or, at the very least buy the solderless adaptor that Team Xecuter makes.
