Connection is fine, but when i go to test it it fails, I can't update SX OS through the settings and cannot download anything via tinfoil.

Any one know if theres a setting that I need to enable/disable. I've tried Turning Stealth mode on and off but that doesent make any difference

Stealth mode will block access to Nintendo's servers, but nothing else. So the internet test in the Settings menu will always fail, since that is trying to connected to Nintendo to test. Sounds like something else is wrong in your network settings on the Switch. I use stealth mode and have no issues connecting to my local Nut server or my backup google drive links.

Do you have any weird DNS setup on your Switch?

No DNS settinga are set to Automatic

When you connect to internet initially it set up fine, Then when you go to test the connection it fails straight away.

Connection Status States: Connected Via WiFi

I think I said this before, but testing the connection through the settings menu with Stealth Mode on will always fail. It's trying to connect to Nintendo to test your connection. Stealth Mode blocks communication with Nintendo.

Something else if for sure wrong with your setup. Try redownloading and copying a fresh boot.dat file if you have not already.

I know this thread is more than three months old but it showed up when I googled the error code so I thought I'd make an account and decided to reply in case someone else gets here having googled it.

I had exactly the same issue as OP and I discovered a really simple fix to it: fix the time on your Switch!
It seems unrelated and I'm still not sure why it works but it does.

I discovered this when after failing to load videos on YouTube and do other things that require internet access, I decided to try launching the Goldleaf browser. That's when I noticed something about "server time" in the message it displayed. Once I set the date and time correctly everything worked and I was able to browse the internet and watch videos on YouTube! :)
