Hi Guys,

Ok I've got a liteon 74850c, I returned it to stock to update the dash. I erased the liteon and when I go to write I get invalid drive status, or on other attempts the firmware type isn't recognised. I'm using my laptop with via 6421 pc card with ck3 pro, ck3 probe 2 with probe 3 adapter cable. I have flashed this drive with this setup before so all keys stored and was successful. The drive doesn't eject, I can get into vendor mode with a 0x72 status but as soon as i try to write it gives me a status of 080. I have tried flashing to my previous lt 3.0 and my stock fw but no joy!!! Any suggestions?

I can't remove my via drivers as the pc card needs them to detect the drive.

Did you try to intro/outro the drive ?

After that erase the drive again and continue the write

Maybe it helps....

Hi,

Thanks, yes tried this numerous times but still same scenario. I can get into vendor mode with a 0x070 status but it wont write, gives a status of 0x80 or at times an unknown flash type write aborted, I am power cycling the drive via the probe 3 cable and ck3 pro but still wont write, I have tried different timings also...

Load the original firmware to the source then try to intro the drive again
I have tried the dummy.bin and a few stock firmware, lt+ 3.0 also but it wont write as I replied above

I had same problem once thought the drive was gone and put it in a drawer until I bought a x360 USB pro then managed to revive it. More than likely it's because Ur using either a via card or onboard sata
