whats the alternativeit highly recommended that u do buy these products. safer and easier.
Depends on what you currently have. What are you using to power your drive? Do you have a compatible Sata chipset? If no you would need to by something to power your drive; CK3 lite, pro, mini or ck3i. Slim drives are picky on Sata chipsets and the X360usbpro completely eliminates that problem.whats the alternative
lol i have nothing, except tools, the dvd drive and the sata cables from the drive.Depends on what you currently have. What are you using to power your drive? Do you have a compatible Sata chipset? The very least you need are any one of the following CK3 lite, pro, mini or ck3i.I never knew you needed to buy these supplies. Cant you just use a solder and the sata cables. ?
I think the xbox 360 dvd-rom drives have a multi-pin custom power adapter that cannot just be hooked up to a PC. You will need some version of the CK3 for powering the xbox 360 drive. If i power the DVD-ROM from a PC will i still need CK3 ?
I only have X360USB
You're right , it is a custom connector . Is there an adapter from Molex to that connector ?I think the xbox 360 dvd-rom drives have a multi-pin custom power adapter that cannot just be hooked up to a PC. You will need some version of the CK3 for powering the xbox 360 drive.
Yes there is. For that you would need at least a CK3 lite or CK3 mini to power and, if needed, eject the drive. As frayed stated, for $14+ you get a sure thing rather than a gamble. Then, you have and can use the CK3 to power an 0800 drive for backing up your originals. Kills 2 birds with one stone. You're right , it is a custom connector . I have heard that you could be flagged, but have never tried this. Somewhere on here is a post about unflaging it, so long as you are not flagged by the M$ servers yet.And if you power the DVD-ROM with the Xbox itself you are flagged for Live ban , right ? Can you unflag this one ?
