first of all, thanks to the community here. the support is awesome. I have been modding for years, but just completed my first RGH. The first one was difficult, but I got it done!

so I have everything running well- my console glitches within 2-5 seconds or so on about 75% of boot attempts. Very good! But the other 25% of the time I get nothing- no glitch at all. I have to power down and reboot

Is this normal? Is it worth tinkering with? I used the QSB kit, followed all of the "preferred" tutorial methods: installed the small capacitor on the cool runner, used the preferred routing on the back of the board, etc.

I have a 512 Jasper.

I dont mind tinkerig a bit to get more stable. Does anybody have any recommendations or a direction to head in? I dont want to start blindly messing with wire lengths, etc.

Post pics of your wiring. personally I have never had a phat not glitch in under 5 secs. They are mostly easy. Under Coolrunner install follow the image that shows routing for your Green, yellow, and blue wires under the board. Use hot glue or electrical tape to secure them away from areas known to cause interference. This also helps them from getting pulled off the points when having to dismantle the console for any reason.

Thanks for the advise- I reworked the entire install with my own wire. Slightly smaller and much more flexible than the wire in the kit. I made absolutely sure to go letter of the law and follow the guide pics to a tee on the wire routing.

My resluts about doubled. Instant glitch about 50% of the time, under 5 seconds 40% of the time, but still no glitch whatsoever about 10% of the time. I can live with this.

thanks again!
