Hello everyone,

I have a simple question and no answer to be found...so:
I just want to know if it's save to update the OFW from 6.0 to 6.2?
My SWITCH is not patched and I have updated SX OS to 2.5.2.
Maybe there's another way...->There are several games that need
the 6.2 update (e.g. R-Type Dimensions, Nidhogg 2 Horizon Chase Turbo etc.)
to run. I'm on 6.0 so they don't start. Is there a way to bypass this update request
or do I have to update the OFW and will my SXOS run properly??
---I'm a bit worried :-D---
any help?

Thank you

If your Switch is not patched then it works on all currently released firmwares. 6.2 is the newest released. Nintendo can release a new firmware that can cause issues like it did with 6.2, but the exploit is via the hardware so most software fixes will be hacked after some time of being released if that makes sense. Just always check the forms and TX site before updating to a new firmware once they are released.

I'm also on OFW 6.0 and SXOS 2.5.2 stable, why should I update to 6.2? I can install 6.2 games with tinfoil and they work. I don't want to use EMUNand right now - so is there any reason I should update?

Thanks for your replies...so, installing *.nsp with tinfoil, bypasses the game-update-checks? and *I don't want to install the *.xci files. are there disadvantages updating OFW to 6.2? hm , sorry but I don't really get it...
